You Can Be an Astronaut! Yes, You Can!

You Can Be an Astronaut! Yes, You Can!

Hello there future astronaut! Have you ever looked up at the night sky and imagined yourself
among the stars? Well, guess what? People travel to space all the time. And one day, that
person could be you!

How to Become an Astronaut, Starting Today!

Step 1 Love to learn!
Astronauts love to learn new things. They study math, science, and how things work. Keep
being curious and ask lots of questions about the world around you, like “Why is the sky
blue?” or “What are stars made of?”

Step 2 Stay healthy & move your body
In space, your body works differently! Astronauts exercise every single day to keep their
muscles strong. Do you like to run, dance, swim, or play? Amazing! Keep doing it! Every
jump, spin, and cartwheel is training for space.

Step 3 Be curious about everything
Ever wonder why the moon changes shape? Or what it feels like to float? Astronauts
wonder about things too. Then they go to find the answers! Read books, visit the library, and
never stop asking questions. Your curiosity is a superpower.

Things you can practice right now:

Read every day: Books teach you lots of things!

Look at the night sky: Find the moon, find the stars. How about Orion’s Belt! (if you’re
not sure what that is, ask your caregiver, or your teacher!)

Draw the solar system: Grab some crayons and draw the sun, planets, and stars. See,
you’re already exploring!

Remember: Space needs kids like you
The sky is NOT the limit. The stars are just the beginning.
